Back again!

So I made it home in one piece and regretfully realized I took very few pics of my vacation home. I love Canada! Something about snow covered mountains and Viet food with good friends just tickles my funny bone. Anyhow Gray is gone for the week so I will try and have some parties and take cool pics so I can post more next time. This was just to let everyone know I am back and moving right along...

Nellie the Nissan

I have always had a dream that one day I would be able to drive a somewhat new and nice car and now thanks to the boredom of some premature young adults my fantasy came true!
But wait...this may seem sudden...my quick replacement of Alli...but a girl's gotta have wheels. And while my heart still aches occasionally and I long for the day when Alli and I will reunite, I will let you all in on a secret... I am LOVING this new car!! I could give you all the details about her but all you really need to know is that she's a good girl that gets me where I need to go. Plus she always looks flashy fresh and ready for a ride (love it!)
Of course I need to thank everyone who made this dream possible.... first to my dear dad for his $UPER $UPPORT and secondly to Gray who listened to me harp about how this car was the best and most perfect and the only one I would be completely happy with. So while Nellie and I get acquainted and comfortable with our new relationship you can all rest easy knowing that I am riding easy....bahaaaaa

Dude Where's My Car?

We finally went and saw Wicked and I loved it!! It was so good. The music was fun and the costumes and sets were amazing. Surprisingly Grayson DID NOT hate it....he just thought it was weird. He said it was like going to a rock concert minus the rock band. He was shocked that they would sell T-shirts and CDs at a musical. Little does he know....I recorded his voice saying that he didn't think the show was too bad and I will save that for a future day when something wicked comes to Portland again. Plus he gets to go to Vegas in April so I figured he owed me!

Now for the sad and depressing news. Last night while everyone was sleeping peacefully (except for me) some hooligans STOLE my precious car!! It was parked right underneath our bedroom window in the parking lot and when Grayson headed out to school this morning he discovered it was gone. I was/am so sad! I am a horribly light sleeper so these theives were pros....I didn't hear a thing. However between the wee morning hours I did sneak out into the living room for an Oreo treat and some reading. I can't help but think if I had only been in the bedroom fake sleeping I would have seen or heard something. It is due to this tragic event that I have decided to figure out what is wrong with me...once and for all. Now don't laugh. The list of things wrong with me may seem endless but seriously I really need to understand why I don't sleep at night. It has been a problem since I was a small child but now I think my car is gone because I was not sleeping. I have narrowed down the options of why I don't sleep...Pick your favorite one.
1. REM sleeping disorder (or so I've been told)
2. My brain does not shut off when my eyes do
3. I was a hamster in a former life and have not yet recovered from the whole 'sleep during the day/play at night' pattern
4. I am suppose to be living on the other side of the world where it is day time during our nighttime.

So overall the whole day has been a mess. I missed work ( how was I to get there?) and with nothing else to do I fell asleep which will contribute to my wide awake hours later on tonight. Gray had to ride home on his bike in the pouring rain and we need sour cream, bread, and chicken! While I should be greatful that Officer Funny Pants took a good report and kept me posted all day, it has been almost 24 hours since Allie (the Altima) was last seen and I fear I will not sit behind her wheel again. So here's to the best little piece of crap south of our parking lot...
