So here I sit...bored AND jobless. That is a deadly combination for me. I think I have spent more time being bored than getting things done. Plus I am going a little stir crazy! I was told I can't even substitute teach without an Oregon License. Which of course I am getting.....it is just taking too long. Anyway since I have all the time in the world I thought I would update my blog. I love looking at everyone's blogs and perhaps I spend more time creeping on you guys than getting serious about life.

(Just a shout out to all my fellow Oilers fans!)Anyway hockey season has started again so I am not totally dying. I loved watching them play Colorado and win. I seriously can't believe how I survived the summer with no games. I think we have a pretty good team this year and can go far. I mean with all the easy wins we will have against the Flames I know we will be awesome!
OK So as I was saying before my boredom has gotten the better of me. I am just amazed at all the fun and exciting things that I have discovered around Portland. The coolest thing I found was my blackberries. I remember looking at my friend Renee's blog this summer and being jealous of her fresh ripe raspberries. Needless to say I am jealous no more.
Grayson went for a walk our first week here and found blackberries growing along the road. We went and picked a bucketfull which I froze for future use. A few days later we went hunting again and found some behind our apartment complex. Our freezer got fuller. Now you could say I have berry fever but these darn things are everywhere. On the side of the freeway and in little bushes by the park and on my walking path. They have kind of over inhabited this area but they are amazing.
Here are my lovelies. We were so colorful after we picked them too. Mmmm Mmmm Good!!!

My turn to be jealous... I don't hav those wonderful Little berries in my yard anymore, not to mention I think I would rather have blackberries. I do adore blackberries, Oh and don't get to down about being jobless. It'll happen, just get motivated!! (I know easier said than done.) I wont tell Grayson if all you want to do is blog. Anyway I'm bummed I wont be in Canada when you are. Someday we'll coordinate!
You and your Oilers are going down tonight. It will ba all the more beautiful that the Calgary Flames will be handed the oilers their first and second losses of the season this weekend.

GO OILERS GO! (as ryker would say). are you going to bring us some blackberries when you come for the wedding? i'm just sitting here and kayla is trying to crawl. she's got the hands moving just can't figure out the feet. and ryker misses you guys.
Sorry....that was Grayson's attempt at being involved with the blog. He was a little sad about the huge loss recently!
