What the EFF?

Grayson finally made it home today and I have a husband again. This week did however go by really fast and I was hardly lonely at all. I caught up on some TV shows via Hulu.com (Thanks Kendall!) and ate every couple of days so I was ok. On the down low I actually had a good time with myself even though I accomplished absolutely nothing!

Anyway Gray got around to looking at our blog and realized the picture of our "new" car was not very accurate since it has the wrong hubcaps (seriously). To be honest I didn't even take a real pic of our car (the truth comes out). I wasn't ready for that kind of bonding yet since I was so unsure if our new car would stay where I put her. But after a few sleepless nights and crazy mad dreams, I have decided that a real picture of Nellie is necessary. So here, courtesy of Grayson, are some REAL shots of our car.

Now for all you parents out there who post videos of your cute kids doing cute things I am gonna show this video of my cousin Jess. She is 5 years old and makes me laugh all the time. I loved being able to see her and Lexi when I went home. One night while Gray and I were playing the Wii with the girls I saw Jessica do the most funniest thing ever. I just had to record her doing her exercises. I guess you could say this is my motivation to lose 10 lbs. cause if Jess can do it then surely it would be a breeze for me....

And here are some pictures of the girls again. Lexi turned 9 on March 30 and we celebrated the night before. She really is growing up to be a pretty little lady.

No more excuses for me

I loved being home and I had a great time with my family. The first weekend my parents were at provincials with my little sister Katie (they won the consolation prize) and the next weekend they went to Banff for a doctor conference so I did not seem them very much but it was fun to be with them when I could. Plus Katie is a hoot to be around...even when she is ignoring me.

Little Katie is almost ready to graduate and I can't help but wonder where the time went. I know I sound like my mother but it seems like only yesterday she was BabyK and was practically worshiping me (or am I imaging that...?) Anyway now she is all grown up with important stuff to do and important friends. She is so outgoing and is friendly to everyone and sometimes that can be a bonus even for me...
Katie has a friend named Cameron Dewey who just happens to have a very talented and famous father. I bought a calendar of art work by Simon Dewey and Cameron saw it at my house and insisted that he take it home and have his dad sign it. I was so excited. This artist if one of my faves and his pictures are so life like. To my delight Cameron brought back my calendar and even surprised me with a few other prints....signed of course! I was so greatful...I mean what a treat!

Wow that was a long post. I had a fun trip and a good week alone but now I have to get ready for real life again. Dishes, dirty floors, laundry, work... mmmmm then again maybe I will just go back on vacation.
