Not really. To tell you the truth Grayson and I are in a fit of giggles. Portland has pretty much shut down since it started snowing last Sunday and we can't help but laugh because it is so nice outside. I mean there is about an inch of snow and there might be some ice around but this is summer weather for us Canadians. I even learned how to drive in a blizzard and this weather hasn't even come close to that. There was a couple minutes when it was snowing steadily but it died out and became quite nice outside. I am also going crazy because I haven't worked in FOUR DAYS. If guess if there is even a chance of bad weather everything closes. Grayson had finals this week and they all got cancelled because the campus closed. There was suppose to be a big storm (I must have missed it) and everyone was just being careful but we just can't believe how people have reacted to the snow. Chruch was even cancelled on Sunday which is a first for me since I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta (for all you Yankees that means one heck of a cold place!) In Edmonton it is winter 8 months out of the year and when I say winter I mean frostbite in 30 seconds and 5 ft of snow daily. The temperatures are always freezing and school is always open. There is ice 3 ft thick on the roads and snowplows are more popular than lawn mowers. I remember wearing 27 layers of clothes (not really Sarah!) and loving the weather. So in other words I guess I am saying bring it on cause this is child's play compared to what us Canucks can handle.
On the other hand I can understand why some folks might be nervous about this weather since it is a rare occurance here. I heard there was even snow in Southern California so I guess it can be daunting. I figure I just might need to live here a few more winters (like 50) to get used to cancelled school and church because this is nothing compared to what I am used to!

That is sooo crazy! Idaho was way worse then that and school was always open! In Reno we never close down either. My bro's in Seattle though and he said everything has been slowed down or closed from the weather there too! PANSIES!! HA HA
