Alas it has happened again. I was sure that my body was prepared for this season but my voice completely disappeared a few weeks ago (it is now back thank goodness) and I am still wheezing and gagging all over!! I believe I have acquired "the nasty" from the little hellions that I spend the majority of my waking hours with. Curse-ed dang kids. I really do need to find a better place to hang out. It all started a few weeks ago when I was wiping snotty nosed Sean (names may or may not have been changed to protect my sanity) and damning his mother to unholy places for bringing him to school when he sneeze-coughed in my face and I knew my health was at stake. And of course now with all the piggy flu frenzy I think that I have been overexposed and under sanitized at work. What has happened to my super immune body? As a kid I remember eating mud on the playground because the boy I was playing with called it pie and I recall licking a sucker that had been passed around the whole class. I am also pretty sure I played with lead infused toys and that the lining in my plastic sippy cup probably could have given me cancer yet here I am and I think I turned out okay. I don't remember ever being super sick except for the occasional bout of tonsillitis and I still have those puppies in my throat too. So why is there all this commotion? Hand sanitizer is a new invention of the past few years and the word contagious used to be only used when referring to members of the opposite sex. I think I am gonna go roll in the dirt and lick a toilet seat. Hopefully I will start feeling better after that.
